1940s Music

     There were 4 major types of music in the 1940s. These were Bluegrass, Cajun, Gospel, and Doo Wop.
    
     Bluegrass is mostly a folk music. It was started by "The Stinky Bluegrass Boys". It is derived from country and was first made in 1948.
     Gospel Music took off in the forties after World War 2. It was pioneered by people like the bands "The Five Blind Boys of Mississippi" and "The Swan Silvertones".
     Doo Wop was achieved by a person making their voice echo. It was pioneered by bands like "The Crows" and "The Orioles".
    
     There was still other genres of music in the forties, but these were the ones that started in the forties.
