Sports in the 1940s




A lot of sports were not played in the 1940s because of World War 2. In 1940s the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Detroit Tigers 4 games to 3. Basketball was not played because of World war 2 same with Golf. Football the Minnesota Golden Gophers, Stanford Indians and the Boston college Eagles were in a three way tie for National college football Champions. Also the Chicago Bears crushed the Washington Redskins 73-0 for the NFL Championship. Thats what happened in the 1940s for sports.
